What we think is fair or not is irrelevant. This is more of a service than a social networking site, and as such the owners can charge whatever they want. If you look back through the forum history there have been many posts such as yours, and none of them have achieved anything. If there's really someone you want to contact, pay your ten bucks and then cancel after a month.

we aer pretty sure that these forums are not monitored as many violate the forum rules. So complaining in an empty room wont get you far.
Something they could try though is having ads on the page, once they have an income rather than us, they might wave the fees.

And all we're saying is go for it. Many of us come here because we enjoy people we have met here; I wouldn't use this as my first or even second resource for musicians.

Oh.

Do you mean like they owe us or something for musicians giving a free forum? Now that's a strange viewpoint. But on the other hand, I belong to several forums, and none of the others do either. They all have a courtesy section, and a revenue section to help off set the cost of running the servers.

Maybe guys that need those things just need more clout, to get their way. ...You know, like the people on those other sites who have a million two hundred and thirty fine friends? (Most likely close personal friends, at that. ) :)

Agreed. All we do on our facespace or mybook is update what we're doing, add more photos, songs, play dates...
Its not much of a forum to talk to like minded, (or in most of our cases here) unlike minded.
