Frankly, I think the guy is a fool. He's going to trade being a part of the show, not just musically, but also as part of the dialogue, which is a RARE success, even in his field, for what is statistically a probable failure as a career touring musician.
He has no to-date hits, isn't known as a vocalist, and at best may break into the jazz scene, which is beyond hurting moreso than blues or other non-pop genre's.
It's a longshot. Hope he's got sponsors who can take the fall, and not using his life savings to finance his efforts.
