I auditioned for the bassist position in a local prog rock band and they hired me on the spot. They're not the greatest musicians - I'm a better guitarist than the guy they have - but I like what they're trying to do so I'll stick around and see what develops. They're doing a quasi-psychedelic prog rock, here's the covers they picked out:

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake - Small Faces
Meloncholia - The Who
Daily Nightly - The Monkees
The Green Manalishi - Fleetwood Mac
Ride Easy - Asia
Julia Dream - Pink Floyd
Epitaph - King Crimson

Odd set list for sure, Jimmy, but ya can't go wrong with Epitaph!

Good luck!

Yes it looked odd when I first saw it but the songs do have a common thread, '60's psychedelia. I always loved "Green Manalishi".
