For me , so far, it has been 6,000.
in Kenosha Wi.
doing a Johnny Cash tribute.
We had a great time.
The sound tech got arrested right before we went on.
He had an unpaid ticket, He got the fine paid and made it back for the last 2 songs.. :D
All in all, it was a great show.

What about you guys ?

I've been told there were 5,000+ at a hippie thing I did a few years ago...didn't look like that many from the stage, but I kept losing count.

I know there's been a cpl over 3,000, though. One was a benefit for the WV miners awhile back, & another was a benefit to try to stop a dump from going in.

What is it with me & the benefits, anyway?

My first big gig was in 1974 in big open field by a creek Somewhere Southwest of San Antonio. It was a two day out door event, 10,000+ people. The thing I remember most about that concert was a Red Truck pulled up behind the stage and droped off two bails of MJ, then he drove the truck "with guns in the gun rack" LOL out into the crowed and dropped off bails about every 30 feet. The largest show we did was on a beach in Northern Japan at some big festival. 300,000+. You could see the sand vibrate about a 1/2" off the ground from the stage by the sub woofers.

The biggest show we've ever played was at The Majestic Theater on Halloween 2005. We were not the top billed band but we stole the show and the main band was pissed. I think there were 2000 or so.

close to 10,000 at an expo we did last summer,

But, the realism of it was that there were no more than 3-4k within hearing distance of the stage at any one moment, but I guess 10k was total attendance of people roaming, so maybe 6-7k people heard us?

Dunno. FUN playing to that many ppl though! I LOVE big shows

We thru the years played some fair festival type deals that had anywhere from 1500 to maybe 3000 people there. It was cool but it was a big stage seperated by a wide gap to where you really arent connected to the audience. I like to see and feel the audience sweat, and like to touch and feel them, so I guess I wasnt cut out to be a big time rock star. Just a clubbing weekend warrior.
