Guys, sorry that I have not been around. Mom has been ill for a couple of years. SHe's been on dialysis for a coupla years afte a lengthy fight with diabetes. She picked up a hoeeble infection that she recovered from but by the time she could get the chance to live a normal life, for an 84 year old, her heart stopped. I am very saddened by this. My mom is not supposed to die. I am just greatful that my aunt's passing enable me to spend some time with my mom. This has been a very tough new year so far.

Sorry for your loss, Mary. My mom and dad are 83 and have been having some medical problems too. My dad's been in the hospital for a week now. Had been having trouble with his legs and poor circulation. Went to get it checked out and they kept him. He had a blood clot in there. It's dissolved now and they may be sending him home Monday.

THanks Jeff,
It is a relief when they get sent home from the hospital. I am happy that your dad is doing better. Hang on to your parents as long as you can. Once they are gone, you will have a long painfull journey.

Mary,
My heart is broken for you. I lost my father far too young. He was the victim of a violent crime, and died in his early 40's.
I'm sure you feel a little lost in way, right now.
Thank God you had that much time with her.
Thoughts and prayers are with you.

That's a hard heartbreak, Mary. I am sorry for your loss.
I lost my mom back when she was 43, in 1974, & my dad died in 87 at the age of 59. I was 19 & 32, respectively, which is pretty young to have to deal with that stuff.
Parents' deaths seem so surreal, cuz you think of them as forever beings or something. When they go, it hammers home your own mortality, as well as permanently closes the door on such a hugely important influence throughout your entire life. Your childhood, your growth as a young adult, your maturing years - all of these have had your mom's input, & then, no matter how long her illness or how sudden, she's simply gone? That's a bitter pill to swallow.
You've made your mom proud in many many ways, & were a blessing to her life as she was to yours. You'll miss her for the rest of your life.
I still miss my mom, terribly, after 36 years, & wish we could have had more time together.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's good that she lived a nice long life. My father passed away in 1999 at the age of 63 which is too young, I still miss him. Grieve, but at the same time celebrate her life.

I have not but to reflect the sentiments of my BandMix brothers Mary.
Loss of a parent can only be rivaled in stress by the loss of a child.
I is a time of trial for anyone whom knows love.
I will have you in my thoghts and prayers as you wrestle with your loss.
And wish to encourage you to consider her gain.
With love.
The psychotic one.

I'm very sorry for your loss.
Reading this I can't help but imagine what you must be going through...
I imagine it's hard to see life as anything but a string of losses right now...
so think of the times when she smiled...
and know she's in a better place now,
smiling down on you.

My deepest condolances Mary. I just lost my dad in december. Like me, you had time with her before she passed and you will cherish that time forever!
Take care.
