Some dude was looking for a keyboard player for a viking metal band, so i asked him wtf viking f*cking metal was and he replied "it's like battle metal" well that was is, told him i was really diggin the OCD metal scene at the moment, i was actually lolling! like i said each to thier own but i just couldn't hold it in...

A good example of a Viking Metal band would be "Amon Amarth". It's basically melodic metal with lyrics about war and medieval times. Just picture The Lord of the Rings meets Melodic Death Metal.
