Try this - "Throughout 2010 (and probably beyond), Billy Corgan offers his new, retooled Smashing Pumpkins free of charge: The 44 songs of "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope" will be given away online, one song at a time. Rounded out by newly recruited 20-year-old drummer Mike Byrne and a rotating cast of musicians, the album is, according to Corgan, "a new kind of album, an album you can hear as it's being made." We're rooting for our former alt-rock hero, but debut single "Song for a Son" is really, really bad."

Funny how easy it is to release free music online and then just go on tour, pack arenas, and rake in the $$, all the while totally screwing the record companies...

Oh yeah, one thing though: it only works if you are already famous and can already fill arenas... and while you screw the record companies, it's kind and considerate compared to what it does to the struggling up-and-coming artists out there. Gee, thanks Billy.

Bill Corgan - u r the douchebag of the decade.
