As promised.

Serious feedback only please.
Vocals on this will be applied hopefully in about 3 weeks?
I know what I think. What do you think as a musician? Please NO back slaping!

Ethereal feeling electronica. Nice overall effect, yet some of the highs grated on my chalkboard nerve. Danged long. Especially so without distracting lyrical content. Nice ebb and flowing composition.
Without lyric to pull me in, difficult to complete with my attention span today.

Loved it! I was hoping it would have a Genesis/Gabriel vibe and it does but it has more. I look forward to the vocals which must be carefully undertaken; the right vox and it's gold, the wrong vox and it's cheese. Nice job!

Awesome Chip!! It immediately reminded me of Steve Vai's "Flexable" EP stuff. One of my all time favorites. Very cool man!!

I like it Chip. :D

The only critique I can add is that I think the bass and drums could be a little more dynamic.

@ Koolin
Yes that's what I thought too as regards dynamics (Bass/Drums) Koolin. I think you'll know better than most that you'll write something and somewhere down the line you'll add something that doesn't quite ring right, hence another change. This is one of my first attempts and to be honest I haven't decided which instrument should lead the song to date?

Vocals will change it again radically. When I play drums I often find myself accenting the singer here and there, I'm sure that will break it up from being so linear? Thanks for your honesty and reply.

@ Halo: Thanks Shreddy. I'll have to pay your cat for saying that :D (Flattered).

@ Sans: Yes I agree totally. Too many high frequencies. IT doesn't sound like this through my monitors, only when I mix it down to MP3. There must be a process I need to work or on learn to fix this. Well spotted and thank you.

@ Jimmy: Oh boy this will be tough. You're on the nail Jimmy. Having come so far with it and learned so much about recording I'd hate to cock it up now. I do have the melody, oddly I'm not forgetting anything any more, it's there in my head.

Please have rotten tomatoes at the ready :D
Thanks very much for the replies.

Cheers.
Chipfryer.

This reminds me of some Genesis. Where's the bass? Can't wait for the vox. This begs for a good storyline in verse. Drums are a lil odd in spots, yet they seem to fit. I like the main theme of this. 'Tis a tad long, but that's okay for the genre.

Damn, Chip! At this rate you'll have a CD ready in what...8 to 10 years? Better get writing quick!

X2
Actually that's now two people picking up on a boring bass line. I'd love something with lots of frills so I can pack out the drums. Sadly I'm not that sort of bass player, (Wish I was).

Yeah it could take that long. :D
Thanks Phil.
