Looking to collaborate over the internet

I'm a hard rock guitarist/songwriter interested in laying down some tracks with a band or whatever. No money, just for the hell of it. I figured we could bounce tracks back and forth online. I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but since it seems to be the most popular forum, I figured I'd go for it.

I have a couple songs of mine up on my bandmix page and a ton more on my pc. My songs will have a singer on them pretty soon, but I'm always looking for a good singer.

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks alot. Writing and recording are my two hobbies. I've been trying to find some people to collaborate with because I'm starting to get a little bored/stale...

Fitna.
I'll take a look later. I'm on Linux and sometimes waiting for scripts to load takes an eternity. Not an excuse I will look and listen I always do when folks post something, I think its important, I'll co-lab too if you fancy, I do have a promise to keep with a good friend I met on here too.

Welcome to BM. :D

Oh yeah, I don't have any songs on the myspace. I have them on my bandmix account. I put the myspace in case someone wanted to personally contact me.

I took the stuff off of myspace until there's singing on them...

I like the sound you have with your BandMix selections. I could see attempting to throw a little top end lead in on those tunes in lieu of or in addition to lyrical content. (If I weren't stretching myself for my own project now)
I was going to defer any critique from my perspective until completed, but
( and their is always at least on butt in every crowd)
IMO your selections would be more powerfully presented if the bass and percussion were a little more prominent in the mix.
Great listen and artfully stimulating though.
Thanks for the music. :D

Fitna you sound about sorted? I mean the music you have sounds complete so no need of help other than what you say you are looking for a singer?

Nice sound and as your profile states it does have some good melodies to boot.

Good look with it Fitna. :D

Thanks for the input. I've actually been in the middle of re-mixing them to bring out the bottom end and the drums a little more. I'm a guitarist and I'm guilty of putting the guitar upfront too often. I'm going into an actual studio to finish up with drums and bass sometime soon. Singing would make it a lot better...but finding the right guy seems impossible.

I'd sing, but I make William Hung look like Pavoratti.

The main reason I first posted was to find anyone that may need some guitar work done. I was looking for something new to do to mix it up a little bit.

Yup understood Fitna.

Hope you find what you are looking for in any case.
