Ya know, I'm getting kinda PO'd at Yahoo & Hotmail, & I think I really hate microsoft's new bing thingie.

Yahoo has been flooking with my email, changing the format. I never know what to expect, or how it'll look, from day to day.

Hotmail has been "improving" thier email as well, just cluttering it up with more nonsense, & the "my msn" page is impossible to deal with. After I set it up again, due to thier incessent nagging, they keep changing it willy-nilly on thier own. One day the stuff I set up will be there, & the next it's gone or on some other place on the page.

And has anyone figured out how to use that dreaded "Bing?" It's the most useless search thingie I ever tried to navigate! Every time I click on something, I get another page pf lists to click on, or I get only a part of an article, with the rest nowhere to be found. USELESS!!!!

I'm the kind of guy that hates to spend the day clicking on crap to find anything. One click & END IT, Yahoo & Msn!

This crap has been going on for over a month, & I'm getting sick of it. I'm considering just closing those accounts, cuz they've become pretty useless with all thier flooking around.

I don't use hotmail at all, never even heard of "bing"...closed my hotmail account after 2 weeks about 8 years ago when I got over 80 spam emails per day and NOBODY had my hotmail address yet. Hotmail ignored that box you check that says they should not send you any of those dozen or so "newsletters", which are all spammers, and they all got my email address instantly. The very first day after I opened the account I had 83 spam emails. I went back and checked, that box was still unchecked, they weren't supposed to be giving my address to any of those spammers. Microsoft had gone in and reset everybody's preferences, so anyone who had a Hotmail account was seeing the same thing, tons of spam. and they didn't tell anyone it had been done...

Yahoo did the same thing a few months later, I went from zero spam to over 75 per day in a matter of days. They also stopped letting you use Outlook Express at the same time, unless you pay for it. I shut the account down after I searched for 2 hours to find a link to delete the account. They don't want you to find that one for sure...

So I finally opened another Yahoo account, this time no serious spam problems but I have seen the same thing as you, every time I check Yahoo mail the page has a different layout and it won't stay put. I don't see a link anywhere to make it stay in one page layout, they seem to change it at their own disgression, I guess whenever the CEO farts or something they plop down a different page...

Usually I have to search the page for the damn mail link, it seems to be in a different place every time I check mail, so yeah I'm not happy with it either but so far I haven't decided to try and delete the account, I know how much trouble finding that linik was before...

So, this would be one of many reasons I set up my own mail servers and use them for all e-mail. Another would be that I can be proactive about spam without be stupid and paranoid.

This is why I use Gmail.

Whenever I see a hotmail or yahoo mail account, I just assume it's because they have never tried Gmail. Gmail ROCKS.

Thus, every musician should use it.

And if you need a Gmail invite, let me know. I have 99 invites ready!

BING sucks.

Tried it, google still works better.

It's like VISTA. ALL hype and no substance.

If windows 7 sucked as bad as this, people would all be migrating to Linux.

(and yeah win 7 is not good either)

I have no problems with Yahoo mail.
Keep it simple. No fancy upgrades. And with Firefox no problem with the bing BS either.
