I'm showing my age with my picks, but a couple of faves have to be the themes from Hawaii Five-O, and The Virginian.

Ah yes, Get Smart. And people wonder where Robert Plant got the melody for the banshee wail that starts "The Immigrant Song"

X-Files - its sooo catchy and anyone knows it whenever they hear it
Fringe - it has a 'haunting' feel to it, reminiscent of x-files
Gilligan's Island - who doesn't know it?
The Monkees - the theme helped them sell some records!

I wonder what theme song The Tonight Show is going to play when and if Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien are on the same show? Maybe Double Vision by Foreigner would work...I always liked the Flintstones and Jetsons songs. I wonder if the same musicians performed/wrote each one, they were both Hannah Barbera cartoons.

Another good one is the theme to Inspector Poirot. It was a beautiful clarinet solo and the melody was wonderful. Oh my bad, it is a saxaphone:
