I mostly like straight forward, basic rock with no keyboards, but there are some songs with keyboards in them that I really like. Here's a few:

-LED ZEPPELIN: All of My Love & Trampled Underfoot
-RUSH: Tom Sawyer and Subdivisions
-VAN HALEN: I'll Wait
-EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER: Lucky Man
-SIMPLE MINDS: Changeling & Theme For Great Cities

Too many to list, man!

Here's a few off the top of my pointed lil headbone -

Green-Eyed Lady - I forget who did that (brain fart)

Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf (or just about anything else they did with Goldy McJohn)

Riders On The Storm - Doors

Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who

Theme From The Bottom - Phish

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis (yes, the entire album!)

You Keep Me Hanging On - Vanilla Fudge

There's so much GREAT B3 work on older rock that I think it's a HUGE shame they don't use it anymore. I LOVE that grrrrrOWL!

Thanks, Jimmy. I have the LP in the basement but I just don't feel like looking for it to cover my momentary lapse.

Marillion did some nice stuff w/keys, too.

A couple of them of the top of me head.

The Cure - Love Song
I'll Wait - Van Halen

I generally dont go for the organ monkey type of sound, but piano and synth is fine.
B-anything generally sucks.
I can mash levers and make a bunch of warbely noises too.

I always liked Jump by Van Halen, I thought it just showed a whole different side to the band. I prefer the old 1st album stuff, but Jump was a huge change. I guess the song Unchained was neat too with the dropped D tuning.

These are basic pop songs thou

I like a lot of Yes and Kansas and the old hard rock band Angel which featured Gregg Giuffria in it. Check out their old song Can You Feel It! I dont know why they didnt get huge, looks sound management, they are on that got away!

Yeah, "gtZip" that reminds me of a Bass player I once knew.
He said, a keyboard player wasn't needed, because, he had all that covered on Bass guitar
Anybody that thinks like that, obviously hasn't had the opportunity to play music with a "REAL" Keyboard player

Songs with keyboards! LOVE 'EM!

Anything by Dream Theater

Anything by Rush

Anything by Yes

Anything by Enchant

"Dreams" and "Love Walks In" by Van Halen

Anything by Whitesnake... particularly "Wings of the Storm".....

Really, I love keyboards in rock. Course, I'm a progressive rock fan, so I'm biased...

The Lamb ~ What Philby said

Although I suppose there are 100's of Classic music albums that I could list if I could remember them too.

Good thread this. :D
