Dude... the blues is way more than putting empty space between wanking moments...
Good golly... you're never going to get it...
Work on some phrasing dude.

Damm, Now I feel totally inadequate in my music taste. I thought it was kinda cool.

This one had some damned good moments. You know your neck very well. Nice monster bends. I also like the way you tend to slide into the perfect position so quickly.
Overall, it's pretty damned good, but I still wonder how you'd do in a band situation. Could you limit yourself to those 16 bars & be satisfied? Could you sit back & let someone else jam out a bit? Could you double up with another guitarist to do some interesting leads? These vids really don't tell me anything other than you like to play & you have some very good skills, & you still have some of those darned "busy" issues.
From what you've shown us, yeah, you got the chops, though. I'm impressed. Kudos.

I try not to comment on things like this simply because I'm not able to do it very well myself, but I can offer something I think that I noticed - the song relies too heavily on licks and doesn't have a discernable melody. When I think of blues, I think of a definite melody on which all the licks hang off off. A great example of a melody would be Led Zeppelin -

The melody is memorable, and the licks augment the melody.
My positive critique would be to emphasize the melody line and when you break free for lick playing, hang it off the melody. It seems like your over all song is too heavy in the lick department.
Keep it up. There's potential there IMO.

(Sigh)...First of all, why don't you either turn up your backing tracks or turn down your guitar? I spend as much time trying to tell if your with the rythym or not as I do listening to your playing.
Secondly, I just don't dig it. I've said before that I think you're a good player, man, but this doesn't say "the blues" to me. It does say, however, "Here's a guy out to prove how good he is". I don't think you accomplish that. If you played two notes and even remotely seemed like it was about the music rather than yourself, I'd buy into it. Unfortunately, all I see is a guitarist screaming "LOOK AT ME!". That can also be said for the fact that you keep posting videos of yourself, despite mixed reactions-I distinctly remember you not being able to take criticism too well.
Hopefully, you'll prove me wrong, but it seems like you're only here to get somebody to pat you on the back.
"Attaboy".
Now, show me something that actually demonstrates some composition, and doesn't involve you playing a thousand notes a second.
I know, I know. I'm an a-hole. It's just my opinion, folks, and if ya don't like it, don't give me the oppurtunity.

Why do regulars always give this guy a hard time?

Because he's so transparent?

I think that's easy to answer...IMO, Sean is just flashing his ego. I don't recall him ever making a statement like "tell me what you guys think", or maybe even "where do I need to improve?". All he does is post vids of his playing, and to me at least, in comes off as showing off. Also, the more negativity he receives, the more he posts. "I'll show them!"
The only actual statement he ever made was to say that Kramerguy couldn't play. I've actually been on here a few years (despite my low # of posts), and I always encourage newcomers to take in as much of the wisdom here as they can (I know that I sure try to). This guy doesn't seem at all interested in that. He already knows he's good.

Dude, what are all these Youtube videos of yourself doing for you? This one is just an exercise, like all the others. What about you in context with a real band? How do you sound in a band format? You challenge people to put out a Youtube video of their playing but it doesn't mean anything. How about this challenge: a Youtube video of you playing WITH a real band at a REAL gig with REAL audience response. I'd be much more interested and impressed with that...Oh by the way some of your blues licks are good, but by themselves don't mean a lot...

Give the guy a break.
He's up for it. I don't like the way he posts and does not take part however. (There's a few skulls in here like this too).
Anyway Sean.
If you turned up and tried to play this stuff I wouldn't take you on.
Being mean and purposeful is one thing. Being over indulgent another. If you are looking for proper feedback then it would be nice if you talked without a mallet with 6 strings in your wallet.

OK guys, thanks, I will try to be nicer, I don’t mean to be arrogant; I just play a lot of guitar and post it, that’s it, really. I read your comments and try to incorporate that into my playing, I just don’t respond. I guess I should!!! Eh!!!!
