Cool acoustic song with great harmonies, and as much as I HATE "fiddle" that one even sounds pretty good...I hate country in general actually...depressing, nasal vocals, cry in your beer...YUKKKK....

Posted: Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:43 pmI've enjoyed a lot of country through the years, but I still say that I'm not a fan of the genre. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, & lots of others didn't really stick to that genre 100%, anyway. I hesitate to say that I even like some of the more modern country, but I do, in spite of myself.
Some of ythe 1st songs I ever played were country, & I still like them. Charlie Pride's version of "Is Anybody Going To San Antone" comes to mind, for some reason. I liked his pure honest voice & simplistic style of delivery a lot.

I love a ton of country. Willie, Waylon, Merle, and Johnny of course. Even aa lot of rockers like them. I like Hank SR., Ricky Van Shelton, Randy Travis, Shania Twain, JERRY REED!!!!!!, The Statler brothers kick major butt.
I mean sure I love the first five metallica albums, Elvis, the Ramones, and Queens of the stoneage. But there is Killer music in every genre.
Here is what I call a perfect song. The bass is killer and that is usually boring in country. The lyrics vocals, guitar tones, keys sound, arrangement everything is great imho. She's easy on the eyes too.

This song is a perfect example of that, Paul, with the "buy-ee-eye-ee-eye-ee" stuff. It just irks me, for some reason, & I see it in country more than any other genre. At least she didn't add in the patronizing false axe-say-ent!
