It's a mixture of old and new Bond!

Rocks out but with some classic elements.

Just uploaded it!

Hope you guys like it! :D

LYRICS:

Here In The Mist © 2010 Craig Maxim

Here in the mist, your voice is calling
Here in the mist, and I am falling, for you

What else can I do, I'm so in love with you

Here in the mist an opaque image
Here in the mist a fading visage, of you

But, what else can I do, cause still I long for you

(BREAK)

Here in the mist, a revelation
Here in the mist, there's no salvation, for you

What else can we do, when all is dead to you?

No, no, no...

(Instrumental to End)

Good job Craig, I like the Bond theme homage. Also has hints of the the "Kasmir" chords.

Zepplin?

Thanks brother!

I need to work on the EQ, it's really muddy in the car. :-(

When I have some more time, I'd like to play with the end, rather than a fade, and put some more ideas I have in there.

But I'm pleased with it, for only spending a couple hours putting it all together.

Thanks again Jimmy... glad you liked it! :-)

Damn Craig I love that! I can just see those womens silhoettes at the beginning of one of those movies and this song playing.

Great Job as always!

Like Jimmy said you can hear a hint of Kashmir in there, I really like the main guitar themes tone it cuts thru really good without taking over.

Thank you brother! :-)

I have always wanted to turn that famous riff into a song with words and melody. I have another one running through my head, that'[s a little different, and still uses the Bond Theme riff underneath, but I went with this one first.

I think the other one may be better for actually trying to interest someone in using it, but I am concerned about copyright. The riff, being an instrumental, would be copyrighted I'm sure, and I don't know if I can get away with using it, or would need permission to license it.

The other idea is more spyish, or fighting music or whatever... no love involved.

LOL

Love you music Craig. Well done as usual.

I still think using that keyboard for a guitar is cheating. :P

Thanks Sans and RGmix!

I really appreciate the listens and the kind words.

But I don't want to get a big head...

So, anyone else want to comment?

LOL

It just makes no sense that you are not getting paid fat full time. Big league as usual. The drums are cheesy to me but that's what sells. I could see this track in a movie, T.V., or commercials. Are you using taxi?

That means alot coming from you Paul! :-)

And I am thinking about TAXI.

I'd have the money to enroll when I get taxes in a few weeks, but... I am leery about it. I have a really good tool in my keyboard to get pretty close to studio quality, and I get better with this machine all the time, and am still learning new things with it. So I feel that I have the tools and the songwriting ability to have a real shot at getting something placed, but I just don't know. I don't whether the ones who are the golden children on there, and have strong relationships are getting all the business or not, you know... stuff like that.

But it's like $300 (or is it $500?) for a year, so, I supposed it's not a huge risk to try. I'm thinking seriously about it though.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I may ask the wifee for her OK to try it out.

She'll probably say yes... cause she would REEEAAAALLY like me to be bringing some chedder into the household about now.

Thanks again brother! :-)

I'm thinking about taxi too. It's hard to know what to submit. My weird stuff might get more business??

We all told you that a LOOOOOONG time ago! ;-)

Some of your tunes are far-out and catchy at the same time, and would be great for short commercial spots!

Here's hoping we both go for it, and make the wives happy with some extra spending money!

LOL

I dunno. Hate to be the bad guy here, but I think it should be a LOT more modern in its approach. Sounds like an old 80's thing to me. Even the Bond stuff tries to be current, I think, often. It's really too short to be used in the opening credits of a flick, too. You're right - the fade-out is cheesy.
