Why do I almost always have to be subjected to some sort of horrible guitar playing, usually a 'guitar solo', when I'm just browsing around
for a few simple reviews of a guitar product?

They post these either with great pride, or with total ignorance of the fact that they suck.
Some of them even have their own little, 'go to my guitar website' thing they throw in.

I hate you all!!
Stop playing guitar right now if you cant aquire the skill and sound set up to not damage my brain.

I don't understand what advantage there is to continually post youtube videos of just yourself playing guitar solos. Especially when they all sound the same. It'd be a different story if you post a Youtube video of yourself doing a solo in the context of your band's live performance at a real gig. Then we'd get to see and hear you where it counts the most. that would prove a lot more to me than just yourself and perhaps one other person in your basement...

The playin is fine Howlin.
You're doing a song, not going of on a 5 minute (poorly played) keyboard solo.

Sound quality could be better.

Have you ever read the comments below these abominations called guitar solos?

Mostly, I see other people telling them how much they ROCK. I can't believe some of the overly-positive posts people put up, egging a tone-deaf guitarist to put up a compilation album of themselves soloing to crazt train, or whatever.. and these idiots cant even find a decent backing track to solo to, they just pull up the song on a boombox and play over it..

what a tragedy hehe.

Here's the one that broils my kiester. When someone is doing a demo vid of a pedal or an amp, and the mic for their commentary picks up f the sound of the guitar being picked acoustically to the point that you hear that as much as the sound coming from the amp
