I was just playing around on Google, and I saw that IMDB lists a Rick James movie in production for a 2010 release. There isn’t much info available, and this is the first time I’ve heard about a Rick James film project in production. Back in 2006, Warner Independent Pictures was at one point creating a biopic based off of Rick’s memoir, and Paramount was going to do a comedy with Dave Chappelle before he went crazy. I wonder if this upcoming movie has anything to do with either of those projects. Does anyone know any details about the situation?

I think Dave Chapelle is hilarious. I love Rick James' music but he was a dangerous person to be around.
