You have every right to be proud of your accomplishments young man, yet you would do yourself greater justice to join or form your own band instead of idolizing another musician.
It would seem to me that you have spent way too much time and energy "dreaming" about being someone you are not.
Put that much energy and dedication into being yourself, and who knows perhaps Rick Allen will be coming to see you play.

Just my .02

Many threads and posts on this subject. Almost as many options as there are people to attempt them.
Networking with musicians is the central theme in all the successful stratagems.
Your in college if I recall.
College musical department?
Especially at the beginning of a semester.
Local venues, music stores ( where they sell and service instruments not the local dufus selling CDs )
Open mic shows.
I have even had musicians answer to want adds in a newspaper, though damn few people actually read those things anymore.
Just like your drumming. It requires a focused goal and determination to succeed.
Two qualities you seem to have already.
Best wishes.

Are you sure you're ready for a band?

Unless my ears deceived me, the timing was all over the place?

Don't get me wrong, it's amazing to see, but you are quite comfortable using your feet by now? So while it's amazing to us... I know you have more in you!

Work with a metronome.

A drummer is useless without good timing.

I'd rather have a drummer that couldn't do runs worth a sh*t but had DEAD ON timing, than a drummer who looked fancy as helll on runs, but was constantly slowing down or speeding up.

I remember you posting some months back, and you have gotten much better from what I remember.

Timing. Timing. Timing. Brother!

I wish you the best of luck with your career.

I want to see you in concert on TV one day!

.

Nice...

i wrote some words i thought would sound good in a song, what u think? and no stealling, i'll kick some ass lol

the children come out to play as the guns fire away, heads in D. C. go to golf as a cold man starts to cough, worlds we live in are controlled by dollars with mouths and dirty diapers with oil in their cups, god has king of lazy boy recliners, sitting watching a documentary called earth evolution, people people where is the solution to our prostitution, selling our soles to make a buck, babies they don't give a f***, they live on sesame street balling and crawling, they don't ponder the limits only exploring freedoms, you and me, will to be, see me walk on water, call me all power, all knowing, all mighty, for i am you god, i can get away with anything and you will love it, lies we are, gods you and me, destroy the world with the turn of a key.

Drummer.
Don't give up. You don't need all fingers and toes to create a beat.
I think you know what I mean too. :D

Nice Lyrics.
Keep well Dude.

Chippy
