Boy oh Boy, Have things changed,35 years ago people just stepped on your feet and reached into your pocket to try and grab a wallet. I just remember the push and crush and trying to protect the girl you were with.

Today,,,,Sniper crews, radiation detection, bomb squads, fenced viewing areas,no backpacks, no booze, no returning, the list goes on and on.

Just a stupid comment on where America stands today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. :D

I knew what 2130 is. I think that military time is the best way to tell time. Hubby and I will be on the couch. I will wake up at 2358 to watch the ball drop on TV . I will wake him up at 2400 hours we'll kiss drink our champagne then zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I've lived in NY all my life and been to Times Square hundreds of times, but have never spent a New Years there. The crowds are mostly tourists anyway, and sad to say after seeing the towers fall with my own eyes and not on tv... it just wouldn't feel safe. It's actually comforting for me to hear about all the security they have there now. On a lighter note... Happy New Year everyone! 8)

I'm glad I wasn't at Times Square, cuz I really don't like stupid drunken crowds.

I stayed home & drank cheap sparkley wine & good beer. When the countdown finished, I didn't even get a new years' kiss cuz my wife was on that @#%@$##!$ cell phone, so I went out with my son & fired off a few rounds on the 9mm. Yeah, baby! Sparkley wine & beer & firearms! Now THAT's American! I feel like a patriot!

Happy frikken New Year to one & all, & watch out for flyin' bullets!
