I’ve heard the story about Robbie Robertson (from The Band) saving Rick James during a bar fight, and later introducing him to Neil Young. Rick and Neil supposedly wrote some songs together, but I’ve never read about nor heard any of that material. Does anyone know the details behind the work they did together?

If I remember correctly, the band was called the Mynah Birds, or some crap like that...I, too, have ofetn wondered what THAT sounded like!

Neil Young the godfather of grunge and Rick James the prince of funk, it could be frunk music or funge music, just take your pick!
