I've just been going through some stuff I recorded and placed on MySpace. Ain't a happy piggy at all.
Anyway I'm human and crave for what we all do in Music, Recognition. I'll take down what I have because it isn't listen worthy. The songs, ideas and other stuff are, just not what I have to show on my table.
Just thought I'd share that with you.
And for whatever reason?
I walk......

This way....

"OI You!"

It's all good Chippy.
I'll be a happy piggy when I can pull down all those home recordings and put up some better examples.
But as for now I'll play the hand thats dealt to me.
After all, even the best compositions ever to see the light of day were at some point, just a work in progress.

Chippy, I think your stuff was good. I don't know why you are so hard on yourself.
Yeah, We all want recognition. Some of us will get it and others wont. There's nothing wrong with putting your own stepping stones on display.
I personally have always said I wanted to be an "accomplished musician"... same thing I guess. Have I achieved that goal? By some people's standards yes, but by my own, no- not at all.
You may not achieve your personal goals yet in your own eyes, but think about if one of your songs inspires someone, anyone - just one song that inspires someone to write a similar song, or inspires someone to go out and do something that causes the 'butterfly effect' and a world of good comes from it...
Sounds cheesy, but that's why I do it - it's the hope that I someday inspire the next Jimmy page to pick up his first guitar, or the next Plato to think about life and put amazing words into a book, inspire a political movement, or even to just inspire someone to go pick some flowers and give them to someone he/she loves.
Keep your head up dude-

I hear yah Kramer thank you very much by the way. Yes I'm tough on myself, always been that way. Colors was right way back when, when he said get someone to write with you.
Just some stuff about it all I want sorted really not least mastering it a little and to be honest trying to sort Linux out held me back. (I've got what I need as regards that now however). Actually now your hand is better I may call on you for some guitar work if you are up to it sometime and when I've got it sorted out?
Anyway. thank you Kramer. Very much.
