Hey everyone

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Mike, singer and bass player for 747. We are a stripped down, 3 piece, modern/vintage Rock and Roll band from Jacksonville, Florida.

We like to keep straight, simple and really friggin' loud. We have one goal...
to leave every show with fans and guests being blown away...

Stop on by and check us out. Hope ya like what ya see and hear...

Sincerely...

Mike (747)

Good stuff, man. Straightforward Rock n Roll!! All the things I like in music no matter what decade. Excellent recording, too. Where did you do your recording? I would guess a pro studio, but with some of the home recordings I've heard on here and other places, I don't assume anything anymore.

The music is pleasant enough. Lots of great energy. Love the vocalist, though it sounds like he's straining at his very limits sometimes.

This is pure, straight-up, rock & roll, & while I can see the appeal for many ppl, I only wish it had better lyrical content. It's a nearly universal failing within the genre, for me. Few acts have been able to put out material without using the "Turn it up /crank it up / party down / rock & roll all night," or the rebellious things that brag about not fitting in or how impatient one is - you know, the stuff that seems too trite after awhile.

It's all very well performed & recorded, though, & it should grab lots of ppl's attention. Kudos.

Poor lyrical content plagues most bands. The problem is, most people don't really have much to say, don't know how to say it and those who do write good lyrics are often ignored by the mainstream. But it is possible to be successful and say something worthwhile. Artists who write the best lyrics for me include:

Peter Gabriel
Ian Anderson
Cy Curnin
Dan Fogelberg (RIP)
David Bowie

BTW, there was a band from the early 80's called 747 who had a minor hit but I can't find a trace of them except for this:

Receive 100% royalties- GREAT for new bands!

I am a new artist and am looking for somewhere to distribute my music. How are distributing your music on places such as iTunes? I have come across one site called Musicroy, which sounds quite good. Does anyone know about any other sites that are willing to distribute music for unsigned bands? does anyone distribute their music on Musicroy? What do you think of it?

Heres the site:

musicroy.com

btw. great music!!
