For those who are interested, I posted a 2 minute demo of one of my light Rock songs.
"3 Bold Chords." It's the 1st song.
.
This song was unique for me.
Way back when, - I was learning several new chords every single day.
And I'd taught myself 3 new and unusual chords this one particular day.
I decided to make a Song - somehow - out of those 3 new chords.
The chords start the song.
The song evolves a lot, so keep listening.
.
"3 Bold Chords."
.
The demo takes it through one complete time.
Lryics pending . . .

I was hoping for a melody line, either sung or played.

It's hard to determine without one, but so far it seems okay, I guess.

Lately I've been just recording the outlines of my songs, to get them recorded before I forget them entirely.
.
It's funny - you think you've got a song finished, until you go to record it, and mark the measures, or something.
I recorded a song today, "Spiral," which I thought was done.
Then I started counting measures - had 6 where I thought there was 8.
.
It was cool, because I could add another 4 chords to a 12 chord progession. It really made for a much better, fuller sounding progression.
.
That same thing happed with the measures in another song, where I had to hold a single chord for another 2 measures - allows the lead guitar - or vocalist - a chance to add details to the song . . .

LOL

If it's more than four or five chords with a driving melody it just dont sound like NKF.
We,ve recently scrapped several more complex compositions cause it just dont fit our sound. Sure we've still got em. And we'll probably do something with them. But as my daughter would say when she was real little "Not toodaze"
