Doesn't Manny have a few losses? There's been many other great fighters throughout history with more wins and fewer losses. Rocky Marciano is the only heavyweight champion to retire undefeated for example. Many boxing historians rate Sugar Ray Robinson the greatest all around boxer in history. The one thing that separates Manny is his rising in weight classes and continuing to beat people, very unique in boxing history. It's very difficult to judge fighters from one era to the next. Decades ago there were many more people involved in boxing than today. It was much more difficult for a fighter to attain a world championship than it is today. There are so many different divisions and so many different champions today, it's kind of a joke. Also for somebody years ago to get to a championship fight he had to go through ALL the rated contenders. Now they throw guys into a championship with very few fights under their belt. I'm not saying Manny isn't the greatest fighter of all time, but he's certainly the most unique and has to be given a huge amount of credit for his accomplishments. Let's see if he can beat Mayweather next year. Talk about a megabuck fight....

Manny lost 3 times, 2 of them were very early in his career. The 3rd one was against Erik Morales whom manny was fighting blind due to cuts.

I always enjoy manny's way of fighting, it's so entertaining the way he decapitates opponent to foe. Mayweather is good but you know he's been ducking real fighters like mosley, williams, cotto, margarito etcc. He only fought journeymen like judah, baldomir, gatti, unlike manny who just faces the best opponents & the way he carries his power to the heavier weight class is just unparalleled.

Marciano only beat old timers like Walcott & Louis, who were past their primes. He retired early that's why he was undefeated. Ali or Patterson could have smoked him.

Of course, fighters of the past were great, like they were fighting every week, but thing is, the level of opposition is highly suspect. Who knows they must have padded their records against taxi drivers. And besides, modern fighters now are technically trained, scientifically trained that's why i would believe that modern fighters would whip olde fighters in their primes any day.
