I was watching Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans game last night on and off. Why on Earth didn't Vince Young start SOONER? He's actually won his last EIGHT starts including the present four game winning streak. The Titans next few games look like they can keep winning. Wouldn't it be amazing if they make the playoffs as a wild card team after their horrible beginning? Vince was a huge winner in college. He may not look like the prototypical NFL quarterback but he gets the job done. I say let the guy do his thing. When he was drafted by Tennessee I knew it meant trouble for him. Jeff Fisher is too conservative a coach to let a guy freestyle in his offense. Hopefully now that he sees the success they are having he just lets Vince utilize his full talents as a football player...

I know. I'm a huge fan of Vince Young. I was at that UT home game when he first took the field. Blew everyone in the stands away. I wish great things for him. I know he's had his ups and downs in the NFL so far.

Vince kind of reminds me of a superstar in a completely different sport. When Guy Lafleur first came up with the Montreal Canadiens his coach Scotty Bowman tried to discipline him. It was a miserable failure. He finally gave up and let the man play his freestyle game, and many Stanley Cups later Lafleur was in the Hocky Hall of Fame. I'm not saying Vince will end up in the Hall of Fame but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think Mack Brown tried to reign him in a little when he was at UT. However, Vince is a play maker. In the end, that's what gets the job done!

What Vince did against USC in the national championship game a few years back is the stuff of legends. I remember a game from his Freshman season against K-State that was unbelievable. K-State back then was really a better team than Texas, but Vince led a second half comeback that was mind boggling. When he was in college he literally looked like a man playing with boys...

Yup. That USC game will go down as one of the best of all time. I remember being on the edge of my seat the whole time! By the way Bob, you know anything about pro-tools? Check out my post. Frustrated as all hell....new songs too, no thanks to pro-tools.
