I posted recently that on thanksgiving morning I was playing in the drumstick dash

http://forum.bandmix.com/viewtopic.php? ... stick+dash

I was excited about the opportunity but apprehensive about the fact that people would be going by for only a short while. To get what I do you need to hear it/see it from start to finish. If you come by in the middle you'll think I'm playing to backing tracks.

Well last night I found out I got the king daddy spot. The end! in the middle of down town!! :D :D :D :D

That is where all the people will be during and at the end. I will have a captive audience of thousands!!!!! Dude I'm stoked!!! :D :D :D

Don't forget to set up a business card holder with your business card as well as a sign with easy to read info how to get a hold of you. You're going to get more gigs from this one...

Just replaced the broken plastic "pole sockets" on my p.a. speakers with metal ones. My friend Nathan broke one when I played for him and Sans and his wife in Nacogdoches TX this summer.

Now I'm headed to kinkos to make cards!

Way cool! I'm glad for you, sounds like a really good gig. We don't have anything lined up for turkey day but the new year's gig is coming up fast and we're getting ready, I know how excited you are, I'm just itching to see Dec 31 come along.

Best of luck on this one, definitely get cards, if you have CD's and T-shirts I bet you could con Philby into selling them for you. (You'll thank me later Phil  )

And double check all the gear first, that's the kind of gig you want to pull off with no technical difficulties. Our first one was Saturday night and we didn't have time to do anything but load up, and of course we had flaky cables, I had no effects until I dug out some batteries, it wasn't pretty...so do check out the gear.

And GOOD LUCK, leave 'em breathless and begging for more.
