I posted a demo our classic rock bar band did last weekend. Badfinger's No Matter What. The mix could use some tweaking, but not bad for a bunch of old farts

Sounds great Dajax, I'm a big fan! I'm sure you heard my version with Neanderpaul but if not here's the link:

Nice work JD, and NP, I'm debating whether to replace the Uni-Vibe guitars with a real Leslie I have access to. I was actually fairly happy with the way the vibed guitars sounded

Hey, you guys sound good, Dajax! Really good singer. Great axe tones! Solid drumming. You got it all.

Man that sounds great! I am really happy with ours and went into yours a little cocky. Yours kicks major butt! :D The backing voxs are especially tight. Love the harmony leads. The guitar following the vocal on the "nothing would be is tasty. That song is an all time favorite. Thanks for posting!

That is a very good cover for old farts. I opened for them in 1996. Well what was left anyway (Joey Moland). Ironically the band I was just in played that song and one of my favorite BF songs I am still playing Baby Blue. A lot of folks don't know that Sir Paul wrote some of their hits.

Dajax,

I had the pleasure of seeing Bad Finger in the early 70's in the "acoustically perfect" auditorium at the East Stroudsburg high school.
With the possible exception of Alice Cooper , Cream, Squeeze and The Who, it was the best live performance I ever saw. Definitely the best overall sound quality. It was about as close as I ever got to seeing The Beatles live. McCartney's influence was definitely evident.

By the way,
Its great to hear that you're out playin' with real people again.
(still love your recorded stuff  )

I saw Badfinger twice in 1971, about nine months apart. The first show was one of the best I've ever seen, the second show was just horrible. I guess the strain of their circumstances were already starting to show.

Good Call on Baby Blue JH. That's one of my fave Badfinger tunes.

In the 70's I was in a band that did a fair rendition of Badfinger's "Perfection". It remains one of my favorite BF tunes.
