Just want to point out how the University of Louisville plays better competition than the University of Kensucky, with one of its best recruiting classes of all time, and dominates...thus far at least. UK played two horrible, horrible teams in their exhibition games then barely beat Miami(OH). Kensucky plays UL, UCONN, and UNC...that's it. The rest of their schedule is cupcake, the SEC sucks. And granted it's still early in the season and they have pretty much a team of freshmen with a lot of learning to do they play very selfish basketball it seems like. That said I think Final Four hopes are a long shot at the very best. I say Sweet Sixteen and they get waxed. If I'm proven wrong I will eat my words but thus far they have yet to show anything that would merit a #4 ranking let alone a Final Four appearance. Plus Calapari is a crook, they changed an NCAAB rule just to keep him and like minded crooks from cheating in the future, no more ostrich defense. But cheating is historically a UK tactic. Hence the most NCAA sanctions to a single program. They talk about the great history of their program yet it is one flawed with corruption that they turn a blind eye to. I long for the day Calapari gets caught doing something stupid and it drives the poor Mildcats into the ground...lol I know this isn't a sports forum but I hope there are others out there that can see UK is not worthy of their current ranking nor the expectations of a Final Four appearance...that Calapari, stastically speaking(most final four appearances given up by a single coach), may have to vacate anyway lol.

Pre-season ranknigs are irrelevant. They shouldn't rank any team until they have played at least ten games. Kentucky the last ten years or more hasn't been the same Kentucky in basketball they used to be. Everything in sports is cyclical. They will rise again to national championship contenders sooner or later. Maybe just not this year.

I would bet that MANY NCAA national champions have violations that were never caught. College sports is BIG BUSINESS and most college teams are simply minor leagues for professional sports teams. I wonder how many "scholar athletes" are really scholar athletes. I'll bet it's a small number of them.
