You would be one of more than a few who have come by to post links to an outside blog.. You probably won't get too many responses on your Blog from people here though.

I did happen to check out your blog. I would expect if you're going to advertise a blog, you should be very knowledgeable in whatever subject you're blogging about. My personal assessment of the blog is that you really didn't go in depth about any subject. You could have very easily just posted those thoughts on this forum and chatted about it.

I'm not gonna break your balls.. You seem like a nice enough guy. One word of advice from me would be, never refer to it as the "biz". That's a sure sign that someone knows very little about it.

I honestly didn't even need to check the link to find that out. the "Biz" told me all I needed to know. Just did it out of curiosity. Sure enough, there was only your small vague opinion of the "Biz". The fact that you did some quick searches on the "net", and watched a tutorial once didn't really excite me too much.

You coulda just let those thoughts be known and discussed on here. I think you might even gain more knowledge by discussing it here with some of the people on this forum.

Good luck with your blogging experience.

Hey , he gave you an honest critique and you came back and slam him for it? I guess you really only wanted people who would blow smoke up your arse to respond?

You want a REAL blog to compare to, check out gigdoggy.

Hey Dude, sorry if I made any rude comments to you, I do understand what you were saying, I just tought that you were being sarcastic about the whole thing, I don`t want to start a name calling forum, my point on the blog is to start something fun, I do some search and find cool stuff to post and i have not started writting my own yet but plan on doing so.
Peace

I like it when ppl are nice, cuz then my sarcasm is often missed!

Welcome to the forum. Keep making friends!

:D

I looked at your site. I can see that you're just getting it started up. Good luck with it. If you are real friendly, there's a wealth of info in here that would help your cause. (That wasn't sarcastic, btw!)

I've been a musician longer than you, and I have been in the... (cough) "biz" longer than you... in fact, more than a decade longer than you. And not only do you NOT know SH*T about the "biz", you don't know SH*T about people, or MUSIC either.

You come into a community, that you don't even participate in, to promote your blog and ask for critiques or reviews. An excellent musician and songwriter from that community GIVES YOU that review, and because it is not favorable, what do you do? Attack him personally, and then attack his music.

We don't change diapers here.

If you needed a... "MmmHmm that's great honey, really great!"

Call your mother.

The music industry is a brutally honest and ruthlessly selective business. If you don't have thick skin, you won't cut it. Whether as a professional musician, or as a serious blogger.

There are ALOT of music veterans in this forum.

If you are going to expect blanket praise, whether you deserve it or not, and then insult people personally when you don't get that praise...

You've come to the wrong place.

.

Hey Tex, we already got somethin fun. We call it music !!

And thanks for actually having some posted.
That in itself is rare for newbies to the forum, nice sounds too.

Most folk get to know the "citizens" before they start suggestin alternate sites.
Just sayin.

Well, I, for one, have no prob with the word "biz," but I can see the point of it being less than adequate.
