Welcome.
It should work for you just fine. The 9.10 version does have a few problems when upgraded but nothing really severe. You should be ok just partitioning and installing from scratch.

I do have the earlier 8.04 Jaunty version and because its open source I can make it available for download should you need that too?

Good luck pockets. :D

Yes I've just collected a bunch of distros to form mirrors.
I have that but haven't decided on whether I'll load it onto my test PC? 9.10 was a fiasco as regards my studio software. I'm annoying people hourly about this. :D

I may just got for that in the meantime but if you need 9.04 I do have that now. Have fun. That's what Linux is about :D

Cancel that I can now move forward with it again. I'm really pleased because I want a Linux recording studio and I will get a Linux studio :D

Just wrote to you offlist with my Email so you can mail me there regarding Linux if you wish?

(Stops posting on it here innit)

Studio (LINUX) now up and running. :D
No error messages at all.

Sweet as a nut as they say back home. If anyone needs help I can probably help now. I owe a lot of this to a person I met at LinuxMusicians.Com (Gary) who pointed me in the right direction, made me look and learn, so thanks Gary.

Software now of course. But that's just buttons and all that other good stuff. I'm using Linux Mint 7 with this RT Kernel

linux-rt-headers-2.6.31-9_2.6.31-9.152_all.deb
linux-headers-2.6.31-9-rt_2.6.31-9.152_i386.deb
linux-image-2.6.31-9-rt_2.6.31-9.152_i386.deb

If anyone is interested and I've saved them locally should the site have problems?

Good when a plan comes together but sometimes you have to have one and stick at it.

Chippy.

I ended up installing Xubuntu, which is Ubuntu on the Xfce platform. I like it better than I like Windows, and I run it on my laptop with a dual boot to XP. http://www.xubuntu.org

Sorry Pockets missed this.
I'm still running Mint at the moment. I did get 64Studio to work from Live Disc though the actual studio installation hasn't worked for me at all. I've no idea what the problem is but when it reaches the point of loading selected software I get error messages, it won't install. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D

Might be my writer although I've tried another disc and a different mirror too.
Glad you got sorted out in any case. I haven't given up of course. I will win! :D
