Did anyone watch the Obama film on HBO? It followed them through the campaign, and filmed all the people working phones and such? If so, did you see how WELL ORGANIZED and COMMITTED the workers were? Did you see Obama punping them up, and them pumping him up?

Did you see Hillary almost have nervous break down when she lost Iowa, because it looked like she had the damn thing locked not long before that?

There is NO SUBSTITUTE for HARD WORK when you BELIEVE in something. But sadly, it's easier to STEAL someone's songs (my old band) than write your own, and it's easier to pull a trigger on a gun, than go door knocking and explain LOGICALLY what your issues are, and get other Americans on board with you.

I don't doubt that for a minute. There will be hangings, burnings innocent people will get caught up in it then we'll be invaded. Great news for anyone's children isn't it.

Last night, my son and i were coming back from a motorcycle race. We stopped at this pizza place we like to stop at. He had a truck and trailer and i was in another vehicle. We had to park across the road in a dark parking lot. When we came out I saw this black guy, im not racist but he was black, panhandling everyone walking in and out. I told me son just walk on by and ignore him, ussually that puts folks like this off. We cross the road and I hear "Hey partner", I keep walking, I kinda glance back and tell my son get in your vehicle and lock the door. He heads over, by this time this guy is all behind me. "Hey Partner, I need your help" I say whats wrong? He say "Im from Chicago, and broke down and need some money to get home" Im like your accent is not from Chicago it sounds local to me, He says "You callin me a liar?" Im like no Im making a statement, you dont sound like you are from Chicago, you sound like you are from MS, where we are. Hes like "Im from Chicago and need money to get home" . I said I will give you 20 dollars, but youve got to do something for me, hes all lite up and says what? I said show me an IL license and I will give you 20 bucks! He said well Im really from here, and I said so you just proved that you were lying to me in the first place, get out of my face before you or I get hurt! I got rough in my manner but I meant it and was ready to jump on this dude if need be. Backed him down, but I wasnt going to turn my back on him, cause you just never know, all these years playing in bars has taught me to read people pretty good most of the time. We got on out of there. The problem for me was this guy was real aggressive in his approach, I cant stand beggars for some reason and in this case im sure that a lot of the taxes I pay in were going to fund his life in some form or the other cause he would rather beg for something than actually get off his ass and work. Sorry Im ranting here!

Being from Washington, DC (for 8 years) the panhandling thing is a daily event. And anywhere in the country, I can smell them coming from a mile off, just by how they start walking toward me, or start to open their mouths.

I 'll see them coming from a distance, and I just look at them and say...

"I ain't got it brother"

And they just turn around and go on to the next one.

I don't even want them wasting my time with the conversation.

Hey John, with that bald head of yours, you could just look at them very seriously, and in a commanding voice, tell them...

"I'm a cop!"

They'd probably be half turned around before the "p" of cop came out.

I think a civilian militia of any sort is a scary thing. We have military forces in place with people who are <b>qualified</b> to act on situations if there is a need. If you get a bunch of civilians wound up about an issue (whether relevant or not) and are handed shotguns to "take care" of the "problem"...

That would be like a civilian militia of Obama supporters getting together to rid the world of those who happen to have views differing from their own. Ridiculous, right?!?! I support Obama, and I believe in what he's trying to accomplish, but I'm not going to form a militia and come after the people who disagree with my political views. It is extremely disturbing to me that "belief" is bringing about militant ignorance. If this is what Christianity is bringing about... This is scary!

I watched part of that (I'm going to TiVo it so I can see the rest; it looked interesting).


But the bigger issue here is what you just wrote Craig. I agree with it; now extrapolate that to something larger than the US presidential race and see what the possibilities might be...

A civilian militia would be necessary to counter an unfair gov't from within. I wholeheartedly support the entire concept.

However, having said that, I also must accept that there will be militias that exist that do not agree with my beliefs. That's one of the prices of freedom, however, & these ppl will have to remember that there is an entire country of ppl who may not believe as they do, & will fight them for their own beliefs, to retain their own freedom.

Bottom line - don't try to force your views on others, cuz there's bound to be someone who will fight back with bigger guns, or sneakier approaches to the problems that you create.

I like the idea of American ppl standing up against evil, whether ot comes from without or within.

This reminds me...I need more ammo!
