After dealing with the ppl that like to speed songs up so much at open mics, & this new bluegrass guy that i've been trying to fit into our band, I got to thinking about songs that got air play that did the same thing...
The 1st that comes to my mind is "Radar Love," by Golden Earring. When they released the 45 version for radio play, they cut out the center section, where the song gradually sped up. The result was a rather jarring speedy effect on the airwaves, as the splice kicked in.
Can you think of other gross tempo errors that "made it?"
