Sean , Joe Satriani really isn't that good. I think you should try a vid doing Paleopete or ratsass or ME, OR just about any of the players up here, that would impress me.
I Think Joe should stick to guitar hero and that would make your life a lot easier.

sean... I admire your dedication... that must have taken a lot of practice (who am I kidding I gave up after three bars). Not quite as clean as joe but then I def couldn't get any closer.

satch boogie next then?

Would have been cooler twenty years ago. Take what you've learned from Joe and apply it to your own music and I will be impressed.

It ain't my thing at all, but you seem to do it okay. I'd like something a bit more melodic. Running through your scales on chord changes is fun, but it's old hat, really, as Jimmy says.

Can you do as well over some Hendrix, Floyd, blues, country, or somesuch? Howzabout some Steely Dan? Do you write any stuff?

There's a lot more out there than what I'm hearing from you. While I can understand your being a Satriani fan & all, I'd like to hear something a bit different...

Keep at it. The vid quality was pretty damned good, btw.

You finally played one I have some input about. This is the ONLY satch song I like. I bought the album when it came out. This song kills. You did a pretty decent job on it.

Having said that ... write something. Get influenced by something other than that one type of metal. It's as cheesy as it gets.

You are obviously talented. You just need to grow past 20 years ago. AND WRITE SOMETHING!!!

This ones pretty damn good! I heard a couple of pitch issues here and there, but not to bad.

When I grow up I want to be just like you.

Thanks for sharing!

Not just pitch issues but where you played them on the neck.
Come on man,I'm A real f**k player , dont yank my chain.
GO BACK TO PLAYING GUITAR HERO.
Anyone want to jam , I am actually a monster and there is not one guitar out out there I wouldn't love to play with. All you legits are really great and I would have a great time jammin.
But don't hand me a vid with notes on a guitar that aren't there ,Or were they could NOT possibly be played.

Are you also GIGGING? As in a professional band? All the youtube videos in the world of just you is like dancing by yourself in front of a mirror. Post a youtube video of you WITH A BAND at a gig IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE, then I'll be a little more impressed...

Glen,

His vid is out of synch; it happens with some recording software. That's why his hands are out of place on the notes.

I've seen it happen on some other vids.

You can not create a 2 octave harmonic from a played string in first position that does not match any of the notes being played by pick thumbing the string and letting it ring especially when it is bass string being played. that would mean a three octave harmonic. AINT GONNA HAPPEN.
You are gonna make one hell of actor.
