It has begun !!

So I was pigging out at my favorite Chinese Restaurant when I began to formulate lyics and a basic melody for the song I have been encouraged to write by my BandMix counterparts.
I have a page of loosly associated lyric in my little notebook now.
Going to apply the Ratsass method of conversion to it latter.
I was thinking about what Craig and Paul said when I had a memory come flooding back.
(it's been raining for 40 days and 40 nights anyway so it's an appropriate analogy)
When my girls were little, they would each set on a foot facing my leg and hug onto my lower leg.
They would ride all around the house as I high stepped my way around.
I can still see the little faces as they would beg me to do it some more.
Laughing Eyes..... looking up at me. :D

Can't wait to hear it, or at least read the lyrics. :-)

Storytellers...

Those are the writers of songs that stand the test of time.

I got the warm fuzzies George! Can't wait for the finished product! That is a beautiful thing! I have done several variations on that one with my nieces and nephews. Have them sit on the foot or stand on the foot and walk. Or have them lay on the (wood or linoleum) floor on their belly and wrap their arms around my ankle then drag them around!

When I was in my prime (early 20's) I would have a niece and a nephew stand on each foot. Then I could do 1 - 3 pull ups on a tree depending on their size/age! 8) Man I was the hero then!! :D

You're still the hero Paul.

You are a rockin' one man show, and an all around cool dude! ;-)

Band practice was rather rough tonight. We'd been off a couple of weeks and I think we all "took a break"
I did not bring "Smiling Eyes" to the attention of the band.
I want a little more personal time with this one before I bring their various talents to bear on it.
Boys insist I book studio time, so I'll be checking on that tomorrow.
Ifn I dont I may catch an errant drumstick to the back of my head next week.
Everyone agrees to do our signature tune YOU GUIDE MY WAY first.

It's funny. I have seen my daughters smiles in the back of my mind all day.
Must be getting old and mushy.

Getting mushy is ok. Getting old sucks ! I think we're both the same age. Whats killing me is how fast time is escaping me lately. My sons 32 now. Wont be long before they're cremating me or something. I'm really looking forward to hearing your new tune George. Good luck, as if you need it.

And its another day in Paradise !!!

Me too, I may be an old fart but I'm happy to say I'm still mush free...

Good luck George, sounds like it may be a good one.

I did a similar one, when my uncle's daughter was about 2 she would grab a double handful of beard and we would carry her all over the mall like that. He and I both had beards, mine would usually be at least 4 or 5 inches long, his was usually about the same, and people would look at us like we were nuts, but it involved no pain at all. She loved it, we carried her all over the place just hanging from our (or either of us for that matter) beards.

Carried both my nieces around on my feet the same way you describe too, they loved it. My brother would put the younger one in a laundry basket and push her all around the house, doing a crazy little honk honk horn thing, she wouldn't let him stop...
