Is kinda cool. Musically not very impressive though in comparison to the song as a whole.

It might be cool, might be interesting BUT it might be ILLEGAL for somebody to put this out to the world. I hope they GOT PERMISSION TO DO THIS.

Actually, bob, doing this is perfectly legal with or without permission, for teaching purposes. I think even posting it on youtube can be justified, legally.

I wish I had the know-how & software to do it myself, sometimes, when I was teaching.

sans - this shows how important the smallest lil parts are in any musical piece. No need for virtuosic musicianship 100% of the time to have a great song. None of them were virtuosos, in any case, but top-notch writers & pretty good singers.

It's also a great way to show the recording techniques. Remember that this entire album was recorded on a 4-track reel to reel. Notice how the 2nd track was split between guitar & french horns? I'd like to know how they recorded the drums.

I'm thinking that the first track is just the 4 of them playing live, and mixed down to one of the tracks on the recorder. It's actually a pretty solid sounding rhythm track.
