This guy was awesome. Folks over in the USA don't know but this is what we perceive as being backwoods music. The sort of thing you would hear on a Steve King movie, others (sort of). Well I did anyway.

Good post Paul, great guitarist too.

I knew it in four notes... one of my fav songs ever... rockabilly at it's finest.

has been done by everyone from rev horton heath to george thorogood...

cool! I just saw "asleep at the wheel" a couple of months ago! They opened for and then backed willie nelson. That guy is HUGE. Like 6'7"!

It's a Telly what's been completely wrapped in hand-tooled leather with yellow roses & scenes & my gawd it's a beautiful thing.

I saw Ray Benson a cpl years ago doing the solo thing, cuz he supposedly comes from Paw Paw, WV. He is a tall drink of water, for sure, but an excellent entertainer.

That guitar looks like a toy in his hands. He really is a great entertainer!
