This band sent me an invite on myspace so I checked out there youtube video. They do covers and they do them well. The singer really nails some Mickey Thomas, Steve Perry and more.

I just love the live gig preamble. This is a great video.
Please note that they are not REAL musicians. They smoke and drink on stage.
Great post Rat.

Sounds good. But if they hauled
all that stuff into a club they are magicians not musicians.

Very cool.
That's what our band has been working toward. Only with a few newer tunes.
I need to get a good recording of us up...

Go for it Colors.
Original is way better in my book. Peeps tend to stifle on covers always taking from, what, it, could, be, "I liked the original thingy.
Looking forward to it. You have a great style and formidable timing.
Much luck.

If they enjoy what they are doing and making some very good money then more power to them. I think their drummers kit would fill up the entire bar we're playing at this Saturday, the lead singer would have to sing from the Men's Room...

Singer was struggling on the high bits. They were uber high bits. But he was struggling and flat sometimes.

I agree. Even Journey's new guy, while close, is not as good as Perry.
This guy in the vid is a good vocalist, but he was having trouble with David Freiberg too. But "Jane" is a high and punchin' song vocally. I just love that song though.

Well, I didn't mean nailing it in the PERFECT sense, just from the live perspective. I've seen superstars who couldn't nail their own vocals live. But he got a lot closer than I know I could.

Sounds like they need a real guitar player to make it happen. Oh and not get stuck on playing the record. I got the record , I got the CD , and I can download any of this or any of that anytime I want. I can't see a great band put on a great live perfomance anytime I want ,ya gotta be there. RAT you go play with them live , then they got a show.

I was thinking the same thing. That guitar player's leads are flat - no soul to them - it's like his strings are made of spaghetti sticks. Ratsass, they need you man.
