It's amazing to me how much we value the political opinions of movie stars and music stars. I can truly appreciate the following:

Considered by many to have been Hollywood's greatest actor, Marlon Brando (1924-2004) said: "Why should anybody care what a move star has to say? A movie star is nothing important. Freud, Gandhi, Marx-those people are important. Movie acting is just dull, boring, childish work."

I like brando a lot... just watched 'down by the dockside?' and really liked it.
one of my fav movies is opocalypse now (the horror... the horror...)

I'd never heard this quote by him... thanks for posting it.

when it all boils down to it... politicians and actors: both are employed via gigantic and sad popularity contests... and nothing backs that up more than gov shwartzaneggar(spelling), ventura, and regan.

HEY!!!! I LIKE Ventura MUCH better as a politician than I did as a wrestler.

LMAO

Yeah, Brando was so cool, he made some real cool remarks when he turned down his OSCAR through his lil Indian maid!

I quite agree - why listen to them at all - politicians OR actors!
