I'm sure Dahlgren is a good read. I just cannot get my head into a book these days although in the past I would devour them. I guess the PC sees off books with me at the moment :(

I've passed that on to a lot of bookworms (History people). Thanks for the link Kramer. I doubt I'll time at the mo but it does look very interesting indeed.

I'm not bringing religion into this thread, other than to say I'm reading an interesting book right now called ChristoPaganism. It lends an interesting perspective of "blending" the spiritual viewpoints of Christians and Pagans. If you're into that sort of thing, its been a fascinating read so far.
