Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

Saturday, August 22, 2009 – Neptune and Mazinga at Elbow Room. I arrived as the second band of the night was playing (didn’t catch their name). I met my old friend Toby and sat with him. Next on was Neptune, a three piece with a male bass player and female drummer and guitarist. They reminded me a lot of The Pixies, very quirky and arty. Finally Mazinga took the stage. They sounded much more hard core like The Misfits than I remember them.
