Hi:
I am looking to join or form a Dixieland Jazz Band. I am asking for help what might be the best way to go about it. It's such a specialty and nobody plays it really any longer.

I'd suggest finding a couple places that play jazz, and asking there.
Like Cafe 9 in New Haven - but something closer . . .

Try a google advanced search: "Jazz" "CT" "New Orleans' . . .

Also, you can find dixie land jazz in the most unlikely places such as a Bach festival. So be on the lookout for events like that.

Have you tried the search function right here on Bandmix?
It's a freakin long shot but ya never know till you've tried.
