Wix.com (the "mothership" of my Pocket Grooves website) now has an option to upload a document (word, excel, etc) and attach it to your website. So, I thought it would be a good idea to post a 10 pg word doc with general info, bio, terms and conditions, and the contract that I'm now having my clients sign (copies for the client, studio, and me). Good idea... right? :?

I'm having second thoughts now that I've put it on my site. Would you guys mind to take a look and tell me what you think? Click the icon on the right side that looks like a blue "W" in a square to open the doc. Is the information complete enough? Too much info? Not enough? Look at it from the perspective of you are looking for someone to play on your next project (live or recorded), and you came to my website for info. My URL is http://www.wix.com/pocketgroovesgso/official.

Thanks for checking it out Viking. :D Yeah, the Ibanez is an ATK700, which has been discontinued. Yamaha makes great bass stuff, but I'm not crazy about their bass pickups and electronics. I gutted the RBX460 (discontinued) and replaced everything with Basslines. Very soon, the Yamaha will be fretless, and I'm going to string it with black nylon tapewound strings.

My main question is primarily about the Word doc attachment on the right side of the page. This is a copy of the Pocket Grooves Provider Agreement that I have my clients sign before working on a session. Is this too much info to have on the site, or should I take it off and have potential clients contact me for this info?

Limit it to PDF files. Not everyone has/wants Microsoft centric stuff. THe PDF reader is a freee download and probably the most common format on the web for reading documents, so most people already have it installed on their machine.

yeah i agree with chris, pdf is the way to go.
usually if you want a professional image you'll need paperwork (at least thats what the armed forces thinks) I dont agree with this but I also dont care much for professionalism. As long as you got the talent, which you do, and your not an ass, which your not you should be fine. But hell its not the 50s now, I guess a lil paperwork never hurt. Unless you get it in between your fingers OUCH

Thanks for the responses guys! I'll look into getting that converted to PDF. I didn't think of that before, but I agree -- not everyone runs a Windows system, so PDF would probably be a bit more user friendly. :D
