Bloody nora I may not be able to post anything that I've written for some time. I was the AKA Drummer that just turned up and someone would let me hear something and then I'd find something that matched being kinda loose in the Bruford style I suppose but not assuming if you get what I mean?

Anywho I'm writing, all is going well but I'm so critical of what I do I've studied 4 bars all day long! Finally I found the cut to what I was looking for.

I like key and signature changes, probably not the most popular man with guitarists from what I doing at the moment but this is a massive learning curve in all areas for me right now. It might even mean my dream of having my skeletons play on stage my work will be kept bagged for a while but all things are good, though they do take time.

Absolute respect for anyone who just plays the tabs/script in a studio these days but a song is a song and if you don't know the parts and how it is made up then what's the point of doing anything?

Much of what I have on MySpace is just testing for final cuts and also of course just ideas that I threw against walls to get some idea of where I was heading.

Anywho.....

Soz for being stressed of late.

Best.

Chippy.

Tis why I do not fit in and why I do not have a job here. No matter, let the stave talk for me. It's all I have after all in many ways.

Chipster,

If it's not working one day, put it aside bro.

Inspiration comes in waves, and sometimes you have to wait for the big one to roll in! When it does, you ride it as far as it will go.

Ya know?

Don't stress.

You're a cool dude. It will come!

Hehehehe. RGM Wins today's points. :D
Nah its going, just going slowly is all. I do have respect for those guys who are expected to create on the spot, I know they are asked and have to deliver too.

Thanks folks.

I can create guitar, bass, and some keyboard parts on the spot. My drawback is, not being a consistent drummer. Having to take time to program a drum machine takes away the spontaneity of the piece for me.
I can remember the layout of a song, verses, choruses, bridges, intros and outros, so if I could play drums worth a crap, I could put them down with the rest of the music running through my head, and build the song from there. I always need the drums down first to keep everything else in time. You're lucky to be a drummer AND a musician Chippy. :)

Musician?
Hahaha but thanks anyway. My Drawback is lead guitar, I can play some but I'm just advanced enough to even come close to what I'm looking for so out comes the keys again.

Frankly I amazed at how many people like yourself on here actually to tackle drums, I've never known as many to be honest. I think you are the lucky one Rat. It takes me ages to find a roll on things, I find it incredibly hard to write anything. I'm usualy happy with what I do afterwards but getting there...... oh my word.

Yesterday should have been a simple key change going into a progression which then in turn leads me back to what I call the header of the song. I sort of have it now and hope to finalize that later today. I'm near the end of this first song so long as I don't change my mind right near the end and switch something. (Happens a lot with me) hahaha

Keep well Bro and thank you, you too.
