Failing to prepare is like preparing to fail. Practice everyday for at least one hour.

I love that double analogy Jimmy! Your right too. Although I'm failing of late.

Thanks Jimmy, not sure how it is you been watching me, but it kinda gives me the willies.
I have been so busy of late, and it's so hot in my studio I have failed to get in my daily.
Preciate the friendly nudge.

Good point about practice. Like Chip, I've been falling short lately too. What do you like to practice during your "woodshed" time Jimmy?

I like beats, off tones, anything that grabs me right now so practising is a real problem when I do not know my path? I have millions of ideas but as always the simplest seem the nearest so perhaps I should concentrate on those.

Bloody Music! Why the heck could I not be a pilot or something useful

Well, you wouldn't be nearly as interesting as a pilot. 8) Unless, of course, you took out one of the flying monkies that Jimmy sent mine and Sans' way!! :D :D

The way to keep excited about playing is variety. If I play electric one day, I'll play acoustic the next, and maybe the bass the day after that. If I'm tired of punk/metal I'll play some classical. Working on a new song that I'm excited about makes me want to practice. Boredom is the result of joyless repetition.
