Paul,

I took my kids to Pickwick Lake to spend time with my parents. I left the with them last night and stopped by a little bar to have a beer. There was a one woman show going on and she had some extra guitars there. I asked if I could sit in. This was at 9pm. I wound up playing til midnite, closing time. I was playing country and all kinds of stuff Im not familiar with. It was the first time in a while that I just got up and jammed. I had a great time. Got asked to come back tonight and play with a full band. They want me to bring my band, but sadly its one of those places that just doesnt pay enough for me to mobilize my band. This morning thinking about it all, that jamming sharing spirit that was going on last night is what I got into playing for in the first place, just the joy of playing. I wound up playing a Danelectro guitar. Ive never played one of those before. It was a great sounding and playing guitar. I was imagining I was Page while I played.

Have a Great Gig and a Great 4th.

I used to go fishing in Lenoir City when I lived there years ago. Wish I was there to catch your show...

Day late and a dollar short. :(
Got up at 0500 went to work. The boys transported our gear to the gig.
I got there about 1600. My wife brought my Les Paul so it would not have to bake in the 102 degree heat all day in my Jeep. We played three hours, probably 100 people or so, food, fireworks.
It was HOT and I was in my scrubs still.

How'd your show go Paul?

Show was great! Thanks. Good crowd, good crowd response, I played up to my expectations, the gear held up, made money, sold some cd's, got asked to explain the looping set up to 2 musicians, got asked for my autograph! 8)

Thanks sans. It could only be better if it made enough money to let my wife work as little as she wants to. :D

It's kinda erie how much we have in common.
Jeanette loves being an RN, being wound certified, nasty wounds are her favorite. (yuck)
She met a guy the other day while caring for his mom who said he wants to record our band.
Now just to hook up with him!
