I almost nabbed a VeeJay copy of 'Introducing..........The Beatles' in mint condition several years ago. An old couple who lived next door inherited a record collection from an estate and the old guy wanted to keep the Beatles album. Crap!!!

I DID nab a Ventures- 'Walk, Don't Run' instructional album (w/ tablature booklet) in mint condition. Also have a few promotional copies of albums from radio stations but nothing rare.

Guess I'm not getting rich today, never had any of those rare editions!

The whole album is genius, probably the only SD one I still listen to regularly, although 'Katy Lied' has always been a favorite. The recording engineering/mixing is sheer genius, too.

Dayne, took a rare morning off from working on my own music and strolling around YouTube, decided to check out Aja (the track). I liked it better than I remembered, but started hitting individual tracks after that. Liked Black Cow, FM, Gaucho, Time Out Of Mind, Glamour Profession, so on....
Liked all of those better, just like I remembered.

I got into Steely Dan pretty hardcore for a while. I raided my mom's collection about 16 years ago when I realized that I thought Do It Again was one of the 10 best songs on classic rock radio I was listening to at work. Listened to them a lot (even the solo stuff, new stuff, live album) it all culminated in 03 when I saw them live, then I just moved on. I still like them, though.

Was just queuing that one up. Love it! I love that track more than a lot of Steely Dan. I don't remember if I liked the rest of the album.

**edit**

I.G.Y. loved that one even more. I grew up with this stuff on in the background all the time. Then I was a young man under its influence. I couldn't escape it. :D

my SD holy trinity is Aja, Katy Lied, and Royal Scam. for me....there's ZERO filler on any of those albums and every song on each kills.

Dyin to talk about some MUSIC over here. On this MUSIC site. Which isn't actually a political site at all. At least in theory, if not in practice.
