i'm getting really sick and tired of people coming to ted cruz's defense ballyhooing the misplaced notion that "hey, he's standing up for his beliefs!"

"standing up for your beliefs" does not automatically get you past "go". you do not automatically collect $100. nor does it earn you any gold stars.

if it did, we would be handing out gold stars to al quida, timothy mcveigh, and every wackjob who's bombed an abortion clinic or a black church....

...since everyone one of them is also "standing up for their beliefs".

Yeah the big difference is that Ted Cruz didn't fly 2 airliners into the world trade center. He isn't timothy mcveigh and every other wack job you want to ASSOCIATE his name with. This is a typical progressive tactic.

i won't get into the merits of your arguments here. that one is an old (and not entirely untrue) one that gets flown up the flagpole quite regularly here (and elsewhere).

BM has the usual Rogues Gallery of folks....mostly pretty cool and though music isn't discussed often enough, there are some talented musicians here for sure. but it does get heated here from time to time. and the $hit do get slung.

On this point, I think it is intellectually honest to say that there are FAR more legitimate comparisons with how Hitler ignored the Constitution of his nation once he came to power, invented propaganda, bald-faced lied to deceive everyone in the freaking world (killing 11 million people who were told they were being "resettled"), turned the entire nation into a police state, destroyed political opposition through corrupt legalities and violent intimidation, was motivated by racism in so many of his policies, a socialist who took all profits from business through taxation to support national wickedness, and waged several wars that his countrymen didn't support.

I can think of at least a dozen more comparison which apply in eerily similar ways. The biggest difference between them was that Hitler did at least improve the economic strength of Germany.


On the other hand, the way Cruz is portrayed by the O lapdog media is not intellectually honest at all. And this post of yours seems to be perpetrating the same mischaracterizations they spoon feed to the mostly gullible public. It is documented fact that those on the left don't really follow the news like those on the right...they tend to let the pundits decide what they think.


Because, for example, Cruz doesn't compare to any terrorists in any real respect, (nor does he have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood like O & Hillary that are never reported), and is doing exactly what his constituents in the Great State of Texas sent him to do...which is simply demand that the Federal government (all branches) adhere to the founding documents they are bound to in the Constitution.



You don't have to like him personally, and it's fair to disagree with him on issues of policy, but the left can't compete in the arena of fact or fair debate.

No, instead they manipulate people emotionally through ridicule, outright lies, and personal vindictive. They want to destroy a person's character and reputation in an extremely dishonest way, through implying something that they can't prove (because it isn't true).


Example: They ridiculed W in the first election as being stupid, when he had a higher grade average at Yale than Gore. They won't allow us to know what O's grades were, or even what he studied.

They ridiculed Palin as stupid when she has excellent track record as Governor of Alaska and O only has "community organizer" and wicked people in his background that were never allowed to be known. They ridiculed Quayle for misspelling a word, but haven't called Obama on saying he had been in 57 states of the USA.

There are far too many more examples of hypocrisy on the left for you to accuse anyone on the right of it. And like I've pointed out, when someone on the right is a hypocrite, we make sure they are gone in the next election, but on the left those people get the party nomination for President. Talk about hypocrites?


From the short time I've known you, Mark, I don't believe that is who you are. I don't really believe you would support most of what the progressives (euphemism for socialist/communist) are doing, but for whatever reason, Democrats parrot the line without examination of how accurate it really is.

I hate the DNC because they are treasonous and destroying our country very quickly. I hate the GOP because they are spineless and profiting from that destruction.

The Tea Party seems to be the only hope for opposing both of them. I don't like the extreme views of some of the Tea Party leaders...but at this point, it is going to take an extreme position to counteract the extremism of our current government.

We already live in a police state that would be the envy of the Nazis. It's only a matter of time before it turns on us. The way I see it, people like you and I and VInniie and greg and Glenny are the last line of defense. IF we allow them to divide us through lies, it's already over.

Did you know that QE 1 floated over 800 billion dollars into the world reserve currency. QE 2 did the same exact thing. Now we are still going on with QE 3, our federal reserve has been printing 80 billion dollars a month. Just recently the policy has backed off by 10 billion dollars a month, so now it is only 70 billion dollars a month.
The general idea is to keep interest rates low on the thought that business can borrow money to CREATE jobs. Since our government keeps telling us there is no inflation every thing is good. Just look at the stock market it has recovered from the lows of 09. Hah... Would you rather have a share of say FORD paying a 3% dividend or put your money in the bank and get NO %?
This is true when you don't include energy or food in the cost of living index.
Gas was just a 1.35 a gallon 5 years ago. Every one has forgotten.

Now really sad and proof of the progressive destruction of the dollar. China and Japan have bypassed the dollar in trading with Russia for oil.

Just as sad... Congress, has finally passed the first budget in 5 years. Blame them all, we should. It is a 1.1 trillion dollar budget being pushed onto the backs of every taxpaying citizen. The real kicker is 330 BILLION ARE PAYMENTS TO CHINA FOR OUR NATIONAL DEBT.

Doesn't any one get that. Doesn't any one realize how many poor people could be helped? Sad.

That was a GREAT post Yod. Here is one other thing you haven't been privy too. No one realizes that the leadership in our military is being GUTTED.

A very close family friend. I can't even say that. A ranking senior high level 4 star general was "ASKED" to retire because he believed in the constitution.

He was asked by Obama staff if he was capable of ordering troops under his command to fire on and kill innocent Americans. Has any one noticed how many Generals are being asked to "RETIRE"?????

Does any one care that recruits of the NSA and Homeland security are sworn into a completely different OATH , that DOES NOT SWEAR ALLEGIANCE TO THE VERY FUNDAMENTAL CORE OF OUR NATION!
