I kind of took the Clapton route. I started with a Les Paul copy, then got a Strat. I added a Gibson Les Paul Studio, but the "baseball bat neck" killed my hand. I wanted the two different sounds available to me, but the discomfort the LP caused and the fact that I wasn't leaning toward the LP for much of anything tonally anymore, made me a Strat guy. I never got a bad sound out of a good Strat unless I made it! Ha! I still want an ES-335 someday....*sigh*
Taylors are the best acoustic guitar I've ever played. I just prefer their feel, tone and sound projection. (Yes, I've played a Martin)
