dayne....i think you might be a little unclear on the concept. and on a few other things here as well.

there is no "grand finale"...this isn't a "collaboration". none of the three "chord progressions projects" have been a "collaboration" kind of deal.

the idea here is simply that anyone who wants in.....takes the suggested chord progression and comes up w THEIR OWN recording by themselves. they decide on the feel/groove of THEIR version. the melody. the lyrics (as Mike has done w "Miss Mexico) etc.

so there's nothing i'm "worrying that the treatment somebody is to apply might spoil the grand finale"...that makes no sense in the context of how this works.

everyone works INDEPENDENTLY to come up w their own version. capice????

if you've been reading and following this thead you should have noticed that Jook posted his version on SC a cpl of pages back...that's HIM playing all the parts on HIS version. here's the link to it.
https://soundcloud.com/jookeyman/peace-of-mind

and here's the link to MY version w ME playing all the parts....
https://soundcloud.com/user-318778600/a-rose-by-any-other-name

note how different our approaches and treatments are for this same set of chords! that's the whole point of this exercise, to see how we all approach things differently.

and Memphis1 has even weighed in w HIS own version that can be found on his profile page. (unfortunately i've been unable to get the BM player to work on my computer for some reason so i've been unable to check it out)

so....like i said before, why don't YOU get off the sidelines, check yourself into the game and show us what YOU can come up with the chord progression?

I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes,, as in file sharing, chart sharing etc. I dunno,, but now I do.. carry on..so all this time I thought collab..everybody is working independent of each other..cool :)

I see no similarity whatsoever comparing the two versions?.. what happened?

Why would there be ANY similarity between DIFFERENT versions created independently by DIFFERENT people????

The only similarity is the chord progression.

Let's put it this way, if I proposed we each wrote a short story about a boy and his dog.... would you expect our stories to be the same....or different?

no, but if I had a chord chart in front of me, there should be some sort of semblance to each other,,.. are we sure you guys were playing the chords correctly? :( :?

Where's your version, weirdo? I have a job, a kid, a wife, a kid on the way, a dog, a house etc to take care of. Like I said in a recent post you obviously didn't read, i have it ready to upload but it needs a lead instrument over it.
I really do look forward to finishing it and uploading it, as well as hearing yours.
