The Sandbar? Beachhouse? Banana Cabana?

I love Anna Maria. Go there all the time.

i might sit in some at the Sunday jazz brunches at Sandbar.

a singer songwriter who plays in that area has asked me about playing some mandolin with him on some of his solo gigs. i guess he wants a bigger sound but has too much class and taste to use use Karaoke backing trks and a drum machine! i think he does some originals but mostly plays the "standbys" of the 60's and 70's. prolly some of the tunes you and the sappy Muzak Machine obliterate!

he plays a lot at Owens Fish Camp in Sarasota and Siesta Key Oyster Bar. you should definitely come by!

i also might sit in some on vibes with an 8 pc Salsa band up in Tampa that an old buddy of mine plays with.

i'd offer to come by one of your gigs but well...Karaoke just ain't my thing.

Gee, Nancy. That's kinda vague. Where are you playing, exactly? I thought you had “gigs” booked. Or do you consider "sitting in" a gig?

says the guy who considers posing w a gtr while singing to Karaoke trks at a Holiday Inn...a GIG!

so, what's with you tough talking internet blowhards who like to talk tough always tossing off the girl's names as some kind of righteous insult? damn, that's about as creative as your "exciting band". 8)

I thought as much. Imaginary "gigs".

That is a real shame Nancy. I would really like to meet you in person.

dude...if i posed with a gtr as a prop while singing karaoke on "gigs".....i'd NEVER use the word "imaginary" and "gig" in the same sentence. glass houses, tough guy. glass houses.

i'll be sure to let your "agent" (your wife???) know where and when i'm playing so you can show. enjoy tonight's karaoke gig!

That's not the first time you have referenced my wife, Nancy. Tread carefully there.

Why don't you just let me know now where you're "gigging"? Beacuse it's imaginary, just a little something to pump up your rep?

You mentioned the Sandbar Sunday brunch. What's the name of the band? I just spoke with the Sandbar, by the way.

Actually, it's Penelope Bradford Burke - per his website.

Mark - I hope you can make it to one of the 90db band's gigs while you're down there. Oh wait a minute, they don't have any upcoming gigs listed on their webpage.

Saw this today, and thought of Bob as Robin.
